MONICA LEAL CUEVA
Born in Mexico City, and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Monica Leal Cueva holds a BSc in Communications from ITESM Campus Monterrey, with a focus in Science and Technology Communications from Cornell University. Hoping to become a writer, she participated in a Creative Literature workshop for 5 years under the direction of Mexican writer Felipe Montes. This was followed by seven years of writing professionally for a non-fiction children’s magazine and teaching creative literature workshops.
In late 2006, Monica moved to California where she studied photography, illustration, graphic design and programming in Valencia. Her immersion in art and design eventually led her to Tom Wudl Studio where she currently works as an Art and Studio assistant and studies under his instruction.
